Easy Dinner on Monday? It’s possible

Today was Monday and I wanted to create an easy dinner (needing not many ingredients and not a lot of time to prepare) to meet my husband when he comes back from work, an easy and yummy dinner to say Happy Monday, because Mondays when the working weeks starts are always difficult!

And this is my suggestion:

Baked cheese

This recipe is very easy to prepare, doesn’t need you to do almost anythng except putting all the ingredients in the dish and just turn on the oven.

Ingredients:

  • 400gr grated cheese (cheddar)
  • 3 eggs
  • 400ml milk
  • seasoning: ground black peppar, parsley, red peppar

Note! I never add salt, because my toddler eats the meals I prepare and because I prefer not to eat salt if I can avoid it, but you can add according to your taste.

Preparation:

You mix all the ingredients and put them in a tray (I used a glass tray).

Bake in a 200 degrees oven for 30 minutes or until set and brown on the top.

Serve with a fresh salad: lettuce, tomato, cucumber.

    It, also, looks really simple and cheap to make. My boyfriend and I both work all day, so simple meals are always of benefit to my household. Great pictures, too! That definitely adds a lot of spice to the post.

      Thank you for your comments. Not only is this recipe very easy to make, but you can also use any leftover vegetables you have so not waste them and also make it according to your taste.

    Woaw I really have to give this a try! It doesn’t look hard at all, and judging by the pictures it’s delicious. 🙂
    Everything looks very neat. the ingredients you need to make this are very clear, and the instructions are simple but really good enough to get a great result!

      Thank you for your comments. I like using simple recipes that, even if they need more time to cook, not to need too much preparation as I prefer to spend that time with my kids.

    Wow I will definitely have to give that recipe a try as I love cheese and that looks so good! I’m not much of a cook or chef, but that honestly looks pretty easy to make. Do you use mild cheddar or sharp cheddar. Sharp is the one I tend to like more, but I can live with mild. I am curious though is something that you could add ground beef to or is just better without it? Look forward to more easy recipes from you!

      Thank you for your comments. I don’t use meat with this recipe mainly because I bake the cheese with milk and I don’t mix meat and milk.

      I also like stronger cheddar, but I also use whatever cheese I have in the fridge at the moment when I have to prepare this recipe in a hurry, as long as it is grated :-), but cheddar works best (it doesn’t matter mild or sharp).
