Can You Cook Without Making A Mess In The Kitchen? Try This Delicious Recipe And Enjoy Your Time

I am a lazy cook, I admit that. I prefer recipes that don’t need much initial preparation and while cooking they don’t need the cook to fuss around the pot – stirring and checking them all the time.

That is why I love cooking using roasting bags. You can use them to prepare anything – meat and vegetables, and they always taste so delicious.

I especially like how tasty the chicken gets in the roasting bag, it doesn’t matter if you are using only chicken thighs or the whole bird. And the meat is so tender and juicy. All you need to add are the vegetables you like to garnish the dish with and seasoning.

Try this easy recipe that my whole family eats

Chicken in a bag

Chicken with Rosemary, Garlic and New Potatoes in a Bag

Ingredients (makes 6 servings):

  • 1kg new potatoes, cut in cubes

I cut the potatoes in smaller shapes, so that my little one to be able to eat them as well

  • 6-7 chicken thighs

  • salt, black pepper, paprika, rosemary, parsley, garlic powder (all about 1-2tbsp)

  • 2-3tbsp oil or a little bit more (depending how much seasoning you are going to use)

  1. Put the potatoes and the chicken thighs in the roasting bag

  2. Add the seasoning mix by mixing together the condiments and oil

  3. Tie the bag and massage it to make the seasoning mix reach the meat and vegetables everywhereCook in a bag

You may have to pierce the bag while baking, just check the manufacturer’s instruction on the packing

  1. Pre-heat the oven to 200°-220°C and cook for 50-60 minutes

  2. If you want to brown the potatoes and meat, just remove from the bag and return to the oven for 15-20 minutes more

Serve it with fresh salad.

I’m not a huge fan of meat, but this one looks great, I also love the fact that there are some vegetables, they will definitely make this meal more tasty to me haha.

Hello. I love cooking in a roasting bag and I definitely think that adding meat is an option, because vegetables get so tasty as well.

Still, the best part is that you only need to put the ingredients you are using (vegetables, seasoning, etc) in the bag, then you just relax.

Try some vegetables and share with me the results.

      Have a lovely day! Cheers

Roasting bags are the greatest invention ever! I was first exposed to roasting bags at Thanksgiving a few years ago when I was hosting my first holiday dinner at my new house.

The recipe I found online called for putting the ham into a roasting bag and I was clueless! Thankfully, I was able to find them at Wal-Mart and the ham turned out amazing!

I love the recipes that you share here! Cooking quick and easy meals is so beneficial because of how busy I am during the day. Great idea to share easy meals with your readers.

Hi Jess, thank you for your comments.

I’ve never tried cooking ham in a roasting bag, but it sounds delicious. I would give it a try very soon.

As a mum that needs to have her hands free to run after very busy children, I started using the roasting bags very often – cook chicken, other meats, vegetables

And the best part for me – no burnt food to scratch after that, no spilled food, no mess

Have a yummy day! All the best
