Cheesy Pastry – Easiest and Yummiest Warm Breakfast For Those Cold Mornings

I like anything involving the use of pastry, especially when the pastry is filled with something delicious. I like both sweet and savoury filling, I just love when the meal comes in one – just ready to bite into it.

Today I am presenting one very easy to make, quick recipe how to prepare warm breakfast, filling and satiating, very suitable for those cold mornings, during the week or better during the weekend – Cheesy Pastry.

I’ve made this recipe using only cheddar cheese, but you can use feta cheese as well, or make a filling by mixing yoghurt and eggs with the cheese.

I made this recipe with puff pastry, because I think it is really delicious, it is easy to work with and it takes no time to bake.

Try this recipe yourself or try with different filling.

Enjoy!

Cheesy Pastry Cheesy pastry

Ingredients (4 servings):

  • 1 pack ready-to-roll puff pastry

  • 100gr cheddar cheese, grated

  • 1-2tbsp milk, to brush the pastry

Preparation:

  1. Roll out the puff pastry, make a thin layer

  2. Sprinkle the cheddar cheese on top and roll, make a roulade

  3. Twist it and form a circle, brush with milk

You can make one big circle or prepare several individual cheesy pastries

  1. Bake at 200°C for 30 minutes or until the pastry gets golden in colour

I served it warm with flavoured milk, yumm!

I hope you try this easy and extra scrumptious pastry recipe and I hope your loved ones also enjoy it. I prepare pastry dishes for my little ones and my husband very often, but I think the cheese filling is one of our most favourite.

I would love to hear your favourite recipes you prepare using puff pastry, just leave a comment below.

Have a lovely day!

Thanks Ellie for this easy to make cheesy pastry.
I personally prefer cheese filling too as well as my wife, but we prefer mozzarella cheese. My kids prefer chocolate filling, they aren’t big fans of sour pastry.
We usually buy ready made pastry, I really didn’t know that pastry can be made at home easily as you described.
Your recipe is really easy and I am very excited to try it at home.
Thanks again and looking forward to more amazing recipes from you.

      Thank you for your comments.

I like pastry dishes, but as any busy parent I usually buy ready-made pastry (puff pastry, shortcrust pastry, filo pastry).

I like cheese filling, but this recipegoes perfectly with chocolate spread haha.

      Happy holidays. All the best.
