Complement The Steak – Best Sides For Your Pork Chops

My family, especially the little ones, love vegetable dishes, but my husband and I prefer if there is some meat involved as well. I, personally, would definitely choose chicken, but my hubby he just adores pork steaks.

That is why this Sunday I decided to treat him with one very easy to make and oh my God so delicious steak with tomato relish and a salad with beetroot and feta cheese.

The combination of flavours was unbelievably good, I’ve never expected that steak would go so well with the sweetness of the beetroot and saltness of the cheese, but it did. I would recommend you try complementing the steaks you prepare next time the way you like it with this very easy to assemble salad.

Try it yourself and you will just love it!

    Hey Ellie,
The recipe is amazing. I love fresh salads but same as you do, I have a man to feed so I am constantly searching for new tasty recipes like yours. I was wondering if you thought about some marinade for the meat to make it juicy? I will definitely try your recipe out. And thanks for sharing.

Hi Oksana. I preper the pork steaks like that, because it is fast and they stay juicy. Sometimes I bake them with red wine and onions, you probably’ve tried that yourself.

And I like a salad with our meat. What salads do you usually prepare to complement the steak?

      Have a lovely day,

      Elli

I don’t eat pork chops very often, but when I do I normally find myself complementing them with sweeter tasting vegetables or salads – such as apples cooked with onions or a simple salad with feta and raisins. I’ve never thought of using a tomato sauce on top of chops. I’ll have to give it a try!

I’ve never tried apples cooked with onion, do you bake them? I love baked onion and baking the apples will go lovely with the steaks, thank you for sharing with me this idea for a side dish I can serve next time with the steaks.

      Have a lovely day
