Courgette Crisps – Yummy, Crunchy, Healthy

My little ones just love crisps/chips. And my special-needs kids can live on crisps. If you ask him what he wants to eat, he would most definitely say “Crisps”. That is why I sometimes make crisps/chips from something more healthy and hope my kids would accept to eat them instead of the real ones, just for a change.

This time I made courgette/zucchini crisps. I think they were delicious, really crispy and were a great appetizer for wine 🙂

My little ones were not very keen even on trying them, after all they didn’t look at all like the real crisps, but my husband and I enjoyed them and even those courgette slices that I burnt while preparing them were delicious.

I think courgette crisps are an appetizer that is most suitable for adults to appreciate the flavours and also to have as a healthy snack while having a glass of wine at the end of the day. This snack is very easy and quick to prepare and all you need to have at home are the courgettes/zucchinis and then wait 10-15 minutes until ready to enjoy.

Have a relaxed evening and try something different this time.

Courgette Crisps  


  • 3-4 courgettes/zucchini, cut in slices

  • 2-3tbsp olive oil

  • salt and pepper


  1. In a mixing bowl add the courgette slices and olive oil. Using your hands knead everything so that the slices are all greased

  2. Arrange the courgette slices over a grease-proof paper and season with salt and pepper

  3. Bake at 200°C for 10-15 minutes or until golden and crispy
