I love to have and to prepare for the people I love fried bread slices for breakfast, they just adore it. Today I want to invite you to try the same delicious taste of this breakfast, but prepared in a more healthy way and skipping the messy and tiring (if you want to clean everything afterwards) frying. Let’s make Fried Bread Slices in The Oven. The recipe is super easy to make, needs only a few ingredients (eggs and milk being the only you should definitely stick to) and is ready in no time.
Try this recipe for a delicious breakfast during this festive season when you would love to spoil your loved ones, but still might struggle to find time to rest with all the tasks we have before the holidays.
Fried Bread Slices in The Oven
Ingredients (for 4 people):
6-8 bread slices, sliced in diagonal
¾ cup milk
1tbsp caster sugar
½ tsp cinnamon (optional)
You will need:
grease-proof paper – for baking
honey and jams – for serving
In a bowl, beat the eggs and add the milk, sugar, vanilla and cinnamon (if using)
You dip the bread slices in the egg mixture and arrange them in the baking tray already lined with grease-proof paper
Bake at 200°C until the bread slices get golden and turn them to bake the other side as well
Now you have crispy, yummy, hot breakfast. Eat them still hot.
I served them with honey, you can choose any jam or marmalade you like.
