As you know I really like stuffed vegetables – peppers, tomatoes, courgettes/zucchini, aubergines/eggplants, etc. And I sometimes make a special side-dish to go with the vegetables, a dish my grandma and mum used to make, especially during the Christmas festive season and I still make for my family – a garlic bread paste.
This recipe traditionally should be made on Christmas Eve to go with the home-made bread and stuffed peppers and cabbage leaves. But, because it is so delicious, I sometimes make it whenever we feel like having some heat (garlic) in our life 🙂
This recipe is easy and quick and I think it is extremely scrumptious, especially if you don’t mind eating garlic. I, personally, like this garlic bread paste spread on warm home-made bread or together with any roasted vegetables.

Garlic Bread Paste
1 garlic head
400gr white bread, cut crusts
about 70-100ml oil
Peel the garlic cloves and grate them in a bowl
Each slice of bread dip in water, squeeze out the water and add the soft bread into the bowl with the garlic
Mix the ingredients together and season with salt
Add half of the oil and stir to blend everything, continue adding oil and mixing it up until you reach the desired consistency
