I love pasta. You can have it as a salad, as a starter or as a main meal. You can even use it in your desserts.

Not only that, but the recipes you can use to make your meal unforgettable are endless. You just need to search your favourite ingredient and you would most likely find numerous recipes with pasta as well.

And because you can make each pasta dish different from the previous meal you had, just by adding something new or experimenting with tastes, I find pasta to be very useful when you need to prepare a delicious dinner in no time during the week or when you are expecting guests.

Also, preparing pasta is quick and always a winner with my kids.

I love the idea to have our own pasta maker machine. In that way you can prepare your favourite type of pasta, knowing what ingredients have been used in the making and have it fresh for dinner.

I think everyone who wants to eat only fresh ingredients, who watches over their health and likes delicious food, should seriously think about having a pasta maker machine at home.

Try this delicious pasta recipe, inspired by Pasta&Co Spaghetti, Ravioli, Lasagna and More bookSpaghetti with seafood.

It’s very quick to prepare and everyone can use different seafood.

Spaghetti with seafood image

Ingredients (for 2 servings):

  • 500-600gr preferred seafood

I’ve used a jar of pickled mussels, plus prawns and king prawn flavour tails

  • 200gr cherry tomatoes, halved

  • 2tbsp olive oil

  • 1 garlic clove, smashed

  • ½ tsp chilli powder

  • salt and parsley

  • 300gr rice spaghetti

  • salt and pepper

Preparation in 5 easy steps:

  1. Prepare the seafood by cleaning thoroughly and boil the pasta

  2. In a pan heat the oil on medium heat, then add the garlic and chilli powder and fry a little

Be careful not to burn the garlic!

  1. Add the sea-food you use, continue cooking until it’s ready (prawns are pink, shells open, etc.)

  2. Add the tomatoes and seasoning (salt, parsley) and cook for a few more minutes

  3. When the sauce is ready add the pasta

Serve hot!

Have you tried one and the same dish prepared using dry and then fresh pasta? You would agree that there is a difference in taste.

I love fresh pasta. It’s quick to boil and always brings more flavour to the recipe.

That is not the only reason why I would prefer to make my pasta at home. Knowing what ingredients I’ve used makes me more confident what I serve and that makes me happy that my kids eat delicious and healthy meals.

Try it yourself as well!

I first discovered the incredible, various and delicious flavours of pasta dishes when I left home and went to university. Pasta meals are usually quick to prepare and you can use different ingredients every time to make it new and unique.

When I met my husband and we started our little family, I discovered the even more amazing flavour of fresh pasta. I believe that owning a pasta maker machine is cheaper than to buy ready made pasta (especially fresh one) and it is definitely fun to use.

Shop around and find your favourite brand of pasta maker machine. For me, the easiest way is to visit Amazon where there are hundreds of different brands and models, and every seller offers promotions from time to time.

I lovvvveee pasta, my favorite one would be fettucine. However, I have never tried how fresh pasta taste like mainly because I was too lazy and could not find the time to make pasta from scratch. The same goes for the pasta sauce, I usually just use canned pasta sauce and heat it up. Taste good still but I crave for fresh pasta and sauce sometimes.I will have to bookmark this page and come back once I find the time to make fresh pasta!

Hi Rab, hope you find some time or curiosity to try fresh pasta. I think fresh pasta is really yummy, full of flavour and it cooks in minutes, really quickly.

      Have a lovely week.

      Happy holidays.

I love pasta! And kids love it too! It’s just so easy to cook and can be different every time. The pasta type can be different, the souse can be different, you can add vegetables and meats. I cook pasta all the time, but never thought about owning my own pasta machine. Now i thinking about it as a great idea. It would be such a fan activity to do with kids. I can imaging how proud they would be to make their own pasta!

Hello Alisa, I love pasta as well. But preparing the pasta together with my kids is even better.

Share with me some of your family’s favourite pasta recipes to try some new souce or ingredients.

Have a yummy day! All the best.

    Hey Ellie,
I’ve never made my own pasta before, but I totally agree that fresh, homemade pasta tastes so much better, and is much healthier for you.
Honestly, it’s one of the main reasons why I look forward to visiting my Nono, her amazing homemade pasta dishes!
But I would love to start making my own one day and the ViVo seems really easy to use and is affordable!
    Thanks for the great post!

    1. Ellie

Thank you for your comments. What souces does your Nona serve pasta with usually? Share her secrets 🙂

I like fresh pasta and, because I make the pasta preparation like a fun game with my kids, it doesn’t seem like a chore. It is easy to make and than delicious to enjoy with your loved ones.

      Have a great day
