Salmon Appetizer – Easy And Delicious

As you all know I love seafood. I don’t like fish as much, but salmon is the exception. I think salmon is a fish that is not too fishy in taste and, because it is a fatty fish, has yummy flavours. There are millions of recipes how you can cook the salmon, but today I want to share with you an idea how to make a delicious appetizer with smoked salmon that melts in your mouth.

The appetizer is very easy and quick to make, you only need a few ingredients – the most important being the salmon. For the filling I’ve used crème cheese (I love it, you know) and olives (because my husband loves them and because they add some saltiness to the dish).

Salmon Appetizers  

Ingredients (2-3 servings):

  • 150-200gr smoked salmon slices

  • 200gr crème cheese

  • 50gr black and green olives, cut in small pieces

  • dill – to season and to garnish

  • little gem lettuce – to serve

Preparation:

  1. On a clean kitchen table, line cling film squares, a little bit bigger than the salmon slices you’ll line on them

  2. Divide the salmon slices between the cling film and arrange them so that they overlap and form a square

  3. In a bowl, mix the crème cheese and olives and season with dill

  4. Using a spoon, divide the cheese mixture between the salmon squares

  5. Close the cling film over the ingredients so that the salmon to envelop the crème cheese and to form a ball

  6. Leave the appetizer in the fridge for a few hours

  7. Before serving, cut the lettuce in small and arrange on the plates. Put the salmon ball on top and garnish with dill

Enjoy with toasted bread and glass of wine.
