Stencils Review – Make Your Hot Drinks And Cakes Even More Fun And Festive

Have you used food stencils before? To decorate a cupcake, to draw a picture on your coffee, to make food appealing and inviting? All good reasons to start now.

It is very easy to use stencils. You definitely don’t need any special equipment or ingredients you don’t already have at home. I first used a food stencil one Christmas morning, years ago, to make my husband’s day really festive and start it with something beautiful and fun in the morning – art in a cup. I served him a good morning thick-foamed latte with a festive picture on top. It was a nice surprise and made him smile a lot that day.

Now, I am using these stencils not only for the hot drinks, but also to decorate different desserts or canapés I’ve made, to help my little ones sprinkle glitter on a picture or a card they’ve made, to outline specific forms and pictures I may need.

See my review below of the coffee stencils I am using and make your everyday life and holidays filled with sugar and spice and all things nice:

COFFEE STENCILS PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Cambridge dictionary describes the noun stencil as:

  • a piece of card into which shapes have been cut, used to draw or paint patterns on a surface;

  • a picture made made by drawing or painting through the holes in such a piece of card

And that is exactly what you get when using stencils. A small card with different shapes cut into it that helps you draw pictures on hot drinks, other food or elsewhere needed by using powdered ingredients – cocoa powder, caster sugar, desiccated coconut, other food decorations, glitter, etc.

Coffee Stencils is a method to apply your creative side and imagination and create beautiful pictures on your coffee or cake, pictures that mean a lot to you and the people you love, pictures that could bring a smile on the face of your loved ones and/or send a message.

Make your morning coffee even more delicious with some added cocoa or cinnamon and a picture, shape or pattern that could start your day positively.

I usually use those stencils on Sunday morning when I try to create a lazy, laid-back atmosphere at home. When I prepare the morning, wake-up coffee and if I am already with open eyes, I like to open the box and start going through the different cards to choose the shape that best fits for the day. For St. Valentine’s day I always use a heart or “I love you” sign; for Easter – different bunnies and eggs; for Christmas – wrapped gift, snowman, Christmas tree, Christmas pudding, candy cane, Santa Claus, deer, elf, etc.

This year I am putting those stencils in good use for Halloween as well. I am thinking about making some pumpkin tartlets and decorating them with some festive drawings – witches, black cats, skeletons. I think the trick-or-treaters and my little ones would enjoy them.

What I like the best about using a coffee stencil is that they are very, very easy to use. I sometimes let my kids do it without supervising them all the time, especially when they are decorating cupcakes as a surprise or for school/nursery. Not only that, but they are re-usable, because they come usually packed with at least 6 different stencils, you could use them many times before repeating a shape.

I hope you enjoy them as much as my kids and I love using them to make our desserts and treats really pleasant and fun.

WHAT ELSE YOU MAY NEED:

My husband is a big fan of espresso coffee. He doesn’t like instant coffee, filtered coffee or Turkish coffee. He would rather not have any coffee than have anything else but espresso.

Of course, espresso can be used to make many other delicious hot drinks – cafe crema, latte, cappuccino, macchiato, Vienna coffee, frappé, etc.

Below see the coffee machine we are using at home and we are very happy with the coffee it makes.

Product: Bosch Tassimo Vivy Hot Drinks and Coffee Machine Bosch Tassimo coffee machine

Price: from £37.74 (RRP £99.99)

Place to buy: Amazon.co.uk

My rating: 9.5/10

Description: The Bosch Tassimo Coffee Machine uses pods for making coffee, T-discs. They are easy to find, very easy to use, all you need to do is just push one button in the morning and your cup fills up with a creamy rich in taste liquid with thick foam.

My family is very happy with the choice of coffee machine we’ve made a couple of years ago. The machine has not disappointed my husband or myself, or any of our guests, since we started using it.

Not only that, but even I, who usually choose the instant coffee, am tempted to make my morning coffee using the Bosch Tassimo Coffee Machine. I like the taste and especially the foam. I’ve tried different T-discs: espresso, cafe crema, latte macchiatto, cappuccino. And all of them were equally delicious and strong.

I should admit that I didn’t particularly like the flavoured coffee, but maybe because I like to taste the coffee flavour, its bitterness. But there is a great choice of flavoured coffee T-discs and I am sure you might be able to find more than one you like.

My verdict: CREATE A GREAT COFFEE BREAK USING COFFEE STENCILS AND YOUR IMAGINATION

I love to start my day with a freshly made, hot, strong coffee. I also like to use my creative side and that is why I often try to find easy and (if possible) quick ways to create something unusual, beautiful and fun. If you, like me, are not a great artist, but like to be able to create pictures – be it in your cup or on your desserts, try using coffee stencils. They are a non-expensive way to unleash your imagination and make everyday or any holiday even more festive and special.

If you are a coffee lover, I would definitely recommend the coffee machine I am using many times every day – Bosch Tassimo to create easily, quickly, without much effort the coffee break you are dreaming of.

And if you would like to serve every cup of coffee or the desserts that would go with the hot drink in a fun way, with beautiful pictures use the coffee stencils that could help you make your or your loved ones’ day unforgettable or just make them smile.

I hope you enjoyed my review and if you have used coffee stencils before, have any suggestions or recommendations, or you would like to share how you like to have your coffee, just leave a comment below.

Have a beautiful day!

Coffee is certainly good! I always enjoyed seeing those little art pictures in the coffee mug and i never knew how people made it happen!
I’m happy to see that there are cheap methods for those that are not so art oriented like myself, but can make it fun and classy to drink a cup of coffee! Good thing the stencils are pretty cheap.

Yeah, it’s very easy to use those stencils, not only to make your coffee fun. The only downside is that you need your coffee to have a good, thick foam so that to make the picture stay.

I love using those stencils especiallywhen decorating desserts, beautiful.

      Have a lovely day. Cheers
