My little ones just love crisps/chips. And, although the potato crisps are their always preferred ones, they sometimes agree to try different type as well – cheese or vegetable chips.
Today, I want to share with you a different kind of crisps/chips, sweet chips. I had some left-over mini tortilla and decided to bake them quickly with some cinnamon sugar. I got crunchy strips that I’ve used to garnish my kids porridge for breakfast and the rest my husband and I had with our afternoon coffee.
This recipe is super easy and you get crisps/chips or strips (depending how you cut the tortilla bread) with delicate taste of sweet cinnamon. I like it, because they were crunchy, light and extremely quick to make. They are nice to eat on their own or you can use them to enhance the flavours of other desserts.
I didn’t bother to decorate these strips as I think the cinnamon and sugar mixture make them beautiful. I flavoured only one side of the tortilla bread, but you can roll both sides for stronger flavours and nice look.

Cinnamon sugar strips
1 mini tortilla bread, cut in preferred shapes (crisps/chips, strips, other)
I made my strips using 1 mini tortilla, which was enough for flavouring 2 morning porridges and having some left for the afternoon coffee for 2 people.
Line the tray of the oven with grease-proof paper and put the tortilla bread
Mix the cinnamon and sugar in a bowl, stir until well combined
Spray butter over the tortilla surface and sprinkle with the cinnamon sugar. Using your fingers, spread the cinnamon sugar all over the tortilla
Cut the tortilla in the desired shapes and bake at 190°C for 10 minutes or until crispy
Serve them hot or cold and enjoy their sweet taste.
