I am a working mum with small children waiting to be fed a delicious meal at the end of their tiresome day. But I should admit that I not always have the strength to start cooking just after we all get home and that is why I sometimes try to cheat by suggesting something I know everyone at home would love, something that we can prepare really quickly and is definitely really yummy – I am talking about Italian-inspired meal of spaghetti.
Today I am presenting a recipe I saw in one of the big supermarket’s magazines – Spaghetti with crème cheese, broccoli and bacon.
My kids usually like the spaghetti to come with a sauce (carbonara or bolognese sauce), but although this recipe follows more the Italian style of serving spaghetti, my husband and my kids still loved it.
The recipe helps you prepare delicious bowl of spaghetti with the added flavour of crème cheese, broccoli and baked bacon. It is smooth, delicate, crunchy, crispy, smoky. All words I love to hear about the food I eat.
Try it yourself!
Spaghetti with Crème Cheese, Broccoli and Bacon
Ingredients (3-4 servings):
1 broccoli head, cut in pieces and boiled ready to eat
200-250gr crème cheese, flavoured
I’ve used Philadelphia Chives crème cheese
7-8 rashers bacon, baked or fried
2-3tbsp olive oil
parmesan cheese, for serving
Place the spaghetti in a boiling salted water and boil according to the packet’s instructions, between 10-12 minutes
When ready, drain the spaghetti, add the olive oil and stir well
In a big serving bowl add the spaghetti, crème cheese, broccoli florets and baked bacon, both cut in pieces. Stir until everything is well mixed
Serve sprinkled with parmesan cheese.
I hope you have a relaxed and yummy dinner with the people you love by preparing this delicious meal.
